Day 10 (woo-hoo double figures!) Friday / 90 to go...

Felt fine this morning, just a little tired, but have lost 1.8lb since yesterday morning which may answer the eurgh feeling I had yesterday. Also drank loads more water yesterday so maybe that helped. Have to keep that up! Managed to power walk for 30 mins on the treadmill this morning without feeling light-headed (which was what I was worried about) - will try running half of it next week & build myself back to running the whole lot.

Right, think I'm gonna grab a coffee & water before I start work!! Raspberry for brekkie again - decided I'd better have a pack after the exercise (mmm, I do like that one! Wonder if I can still have it after I've finished!!) ...

... Had mushroom soup for lunch again which was cool, ate it then added some more to this blog before getting back to work. Finished my water by 3pm again which is cool, and only had one glass with flavouring in today.

Didn't feel completely knackered this afternoon which was a relief! We had a power cut about 3.30 which lasted well over an hour so decided to clean the house - maybe that helped... Had drunk my 4l by about 3pm again but just kept going - think it ended up around the 7l mark in the end.

Was just printing out some more directions for the wedding to give to my mum tomorrow, when our friend Laurie turned up. To be honest I was a bit nervous about how everyone's going to take me doing this diet and apart from the inlaws who we saw last weekend, I haven't really told anyone. Anyway, we chatted for a bit & he had the one beer in the house until h2b arrived back. I unpacked the shopping, which was quite hard actually, as he'd bought lots of really nice things and I was putting them in the fridge thinking I can't have any of it!

Laurie then sorted the beers out & offered me one so I told him I wasn't drinking. Think he had a moment of panic (one of our friends had just announced she's having a baby!) - I had to laugh & explained that no, I was just on a bit of a diet, and a bit of an extreme diet actually. Anyway, he was really cool about it, wanted to know how much I wanted to lose, then said that I'd do it no problem in the 3 months, which really cheered me up :-) I made my veg 'crisps' while they cooked their pizza, then we all sat & ate together which was great.

I had about 1/2 hour just when we first sat down & they were having a beer, when I felt a little deprived and wishing I could join in, but I was surprised at myself, because at no point did I actually consider doing it! Once they were settled & eating their pizza, and I was eating my 'crisps', everything settled down and felt back to normal which was great.

Made 'biscuits' from my lemon bar this evening - tried a bit first without doing anything to it and it was a bit nasty but once cooked they were fab! This time I did some in cubes, and some just in slices, the slices work really well as they expand a lot and actually make proper biscuity sized pieces. They were fab and I think the boys might even have been a bit jealous as I had pudding and they didn't!!

Hi Oiseau. I think you're over the worst now - the tiredness will go and the energy will kick in. Soon you'll start getting comments from people noticing that you're losing weight and tht will spur you on. It'll be great, you see.

Another tip seeing as you seem to like experimenting with the packs - I like one nut bar per week and I eat it toasted (I just chuck it in the toaster on a light setting) and with salt. I know the salt isn't very healthy but it's the only salt I have each week and it makes a nice change to have something hot and savoury. Worth a try.

Also, think how hot you're going to look in jodhpurs (?) when you're skinny - that must be a motivating factor!! It would be for me anyway - but maybe I'm just shallow.

Anyway, keep on keeping on chuck..
