The weigh in last night went ok, I only officially only lost 2lb which was a shame, but I'm being surprisingly upbeat about it and focusing on the cumulative amount rather than dwelling on the week loss! Think this is largely to do with some of the other blogs & comments I've been reading, which has in a way prepared me (more than I realised!) for having good weeks & bad weeks. So thanks everyone for writing the blogs & the comments as it really does help!!
This does mean that I've now lost one stone (yay!) in three weeks, which I can't quite believe (huge grin!). Also did my weekly weigh & measure at home this morning and have lost another couple of cm from my bust and waist which is all positive.
The session was a bit strange tonight, there were no new people, so it was just the four of us and I think she's closed the session now. The fifth lady (who was ill last week) was there at the start to get weighed & measured but didn't stay for the counselling session, but we weren't told why. Our LLC played us the week 4 DVD which was ok, only it did leap right into the Ego states part as if we'd come across it before - we didn't get a DVD in weeks 2 & 3 (is this normal?) so we did wonder if we'd missed something but she told us that we hadn't.
Did a group session afterwards on self-discounting (i.e. where you ignore, or discount, information when solving a problem) and we looked at situations where we may have done that in the past. To be honest I left feeling it wasn't explained particularly well, and will have to do a bit of research online about it I think. The LLC was a bit vague all evening actually - hope it was just an off-day otherwise the counselling might not be as good as it could be. Hopefully she'll be ok next week (fingers crossed).
We were also given our pedometers, active DVD and green rubber stretchy thing (no idea what they're actually called!). The session lasted about an hour again then we all headed home. Got back about 9.15 and baked a batch of toffee biscuits, was a bit gutted actually as I'd ordered lemon bars too but she was out of stock! Finished off with a hot chocolate before heading to bed. Wasn't feeling so tired thankfully!
Woke up at 7 again this morning and did my weight & measurements, sorted out my pedometer, then headed downstairs to watch some of the DVD. Wasn't bad actually, quite a gentle warm-up to the day! Will have to get one of those big pilates balls though, they look fab. Right, back to work...
Decided to try a slightly different tactic with the packs today in an effort to stop me getting such bad headaches on the days after riding. Had a raspberry shake mid-morning, then at lunch I cooked my bar into biscuits & put them in an airtight tub. Had a savoury drink for lunch instead of my usual foodpack, work was busy which helped, as I didn't really have a chance to think of anything else! Before I knew it, it was 6 o'clock and I had to leave, grabbed a couple of the 'biscuits' on the way out.
The lesson was good today, but hard work on the legs! Got home about 8.30 to an empty house (h2b was away in London overnight) and then had a veritable feast - I cooked mushroom poppadoms, then had the rest of the biscuits for pudding, then topped it all off with a hot chocolate pack before I went to bed. Had a load of water to wash it all down, the downside was I had to keep getting up to go to the loo in the night!
Took me ages to get off to sleep though, had a lot on my mind yesterday and ended up in a right tizz which wasn't good. Not much to do with the diet (thankfully) but I did manage, on top of everything else that was worrying me, to start stressing about the blood-pressure check! When I went the first time the nurse was really anti me going on the diet & I was worried about a battle this time round (and what if that they wouldn't sign it & I'd have to come off the diet, which sent me into more of a panic!). Anyway, eventually managed to talk some sense into myself and convinced myself that as I really couldn't do anything about any of it at 1 in the morning, the best option would be to tackle it all when I got up. This tack finally worked, only for me to wake up about 1/2 hour later needing the loo again!! Oh well...

WOW a stone in three weeks that's brilliant!! WEll done.
I must say I was a bit disappointed with the standard of the therapy in the first few weeks but recently we have not been watching the DVD's and have just done longer and deeper exercises in class and they have been quite good. Hopefully yours will improve once the Counsellor gets the measure of you all.
There aren't many of you in your class though so either that will be a benefit in that you'll each get more time or you might find it hard to spark off a(one drop out)so there's always someonewho has something to raise and discuss.
I was thinking I might ask to borrow the DVD's we've missed though to check I'm not missing anything - I'm a bit of a girly swot at times!!
It's definitely worth doing the TA bit properly or else why are we paying the £66!!?
Well done on a full stone off. When you think about other diets, that would never have happened in 3 weeks would it?!
