Grr, computers, grrr…. Got my new KVM switch this morning & spent an hour faffing with it trying to get it to work. It's a device which lets you use one monitor / keyboard / mouse between multiple computers, as I have a home desktop & work laptop it's really handy. I already have one, but have just upgraded my keyboard as my last one was getting old & some of the keys aren't functioning properly, which is getting increasingly annoying.
Anyway, to cut a long story short as I'm sure this is v. boring (!) I needed a new switch to use with my new USB keyboard. So, cables everywhere, desk a mess, was supposed to be a quick thing that just ended up taking forever and it's still not working as it should be. It also meant that I was without my home pc all day yesterday so wasn't able to get on to post / check emails / get on the internet - nightmare! Had to give it up after an hour as it was taking so long. Work was manic too, phone didn't stop and so it was difficult to concentrate on getting any one thing done, lots of jumping about which wasn't productive.
Finally finished at 8pm, which is 3 nights this week now (and the 4th was the LL session / riding when I had to leave early!). Can't wait for the weekend, though I'm probably going to have to do some then as well. Made tablet again tonight, 2nd batch and a slightly different recipe as the one I made on Sunday wasn't quite right (didn't set very well & wasn't as grainy as it should have been). Got the texture right this time, h2b said it was spot on, however it still didn't set very well :-( Actually, I think I know what the problem was, the recipe said to use 170 ml water, but as soon as I'd put it in I thought it looked way too much. Am going to try again but this time am going to put a lot less water in & see how that goes!
Was aching all over today too - legs from the riding and also my abs, think it was a combination of the sit ups I did, the abs exercises from the DVD and the riding! Well, they say no pain, no gain & all that ;-)...
